About the Event 📋
In 2026, the Adventure Society is shifting our Fireside Chats to a quarterly format, allowing us to focus on deeper conversations, higher quality programming, and meaningful connection among members and guests.
Our March edition features Jonathan Retseck, Founder & CEO of RXR Sports and Ben Ende, Partner at RXR Sports, a leading sports marketing and athlete representation firm working with some of the most accomplished athletes in the outdoor world. RXR operates at the intersection of performance, storytelling, and brand strategy, shaping long-term partnerships that fuel both athletic excellence and commercial success.
This conversation will explore the often unseen business side of adventure:
How the athlete-agent relationship has evolved in the modern outdoor industry
What brands look for in today’s endurance and adventure athletes
How commercial partnerships influence, and sometimes accelerate, athletic performance
The economics of risk: how athletes fund big expeditions and career longevity
Where the outdoor industry is headed over the next decade
We’ll also discuss how the increasing professionalization of adventure sports is reshaping what it means to “go big,” and how storytelling, media, and brand alignment are now core components of elite performance.
Hosted inside Patagonia’s SoHo store, this evening will blend industry insight with high-level networking. As always, Fireside Chats are designed to bring together leaders who are equally comfortable in the boardroom and the backcountry.
Adventure Society members may attend free. Guests are welcome with ticket purchase.
