Join our monthly Sunday Club Ride, where we will head follow a route west of the Hudson River. We’ll keep the pace is intermediate 16-19 mph and we'll regroup at the top of hills. We will meet at the West Harlem Piers at 7:25 am and we’ll depart at 7:30 am.
Riders with group riding and communication experience is a plus, in order for us to work together to get where we are going at a steady pace. We will ride in a two by two paceline unless the ride leader calls for single-file. For your enjoyment and safety road bikes and helmets are required. We encourage you to always bring flat changing tools, an extra tube, riding snacks, and water.

The Adventure Society is a social club for NYC's physically active business & community leaders. Helping you Thrive in the Wild, by building stronger leaders through mindful movement and meaningful connections. Our trips are organized with a curated group of subject matter experts, thought leaders, and those that are adventurous at heart.
Trip Overview 📌
As spring blooms and the weather turns mild, join us this May for an exhilarating bike ride from the bustling streets of NYC to the serene shores of Montauk. We’ll kick off the day bright and early, gathering at a central meeting spot before setting off on this 120–130-mile adventure. With scenic roads, lighter traffic, and the crisp air of late spring, this journey offers the perfect backdrop for cyclists of all levels.
Estimated to take between 8–10 hours, the ride will be a test of endurance and camaraderie, with plenty of opportunities to soak in the beauty of Long Island’s landscapes along the way. Whether you’re chasing the thrill of the ride or simply seeking a memorable experience, this trek to the iconic “End of the World” is not to be missed.
Itinerary 🚴♂️
Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025
4:00 - 4:30 am: Meeting point and bag drop
4:30 am: Departure
3:00 - 7:00 pm: BBQ (location TBD). There will be showers to freshen up, food and drinks.
5:19 pm / 7:45 pm: The last 2 trains leaving from Montauk, back to Penn Station. They arrive at 8:30 pm / 10:48 pm respectively.

This is an out and back trip. There is no overnight accommodation included.

Disclaimer: This is an unassisted group ride, so it’s up to each rider to bring what they need for the journey—this includes plenty of water, snacks, and at least one spare tube (trust us, flats happen!). While we’ll work together as a group to support one another, if you find yourself unprepared or unable to continue, you’ll need to make your own arrangements to get home. Fortunately, the train is never too far away, and it’s a pretty scenic way to regroup! Be prepared, stay positive, and let’s make it to Montauk together!
