Trip Overview 📌

In the heart of the Catskills lies Livingston Manor, the “birthplace of fly-fishing in the United States,” where the traditions of this timeless sport come alive. This April, as the fly-fishing season begins, we’ll embark on an immersive journey into this angler’s paradise. Each day, small groups of three will partner with seasoned guides for personalized, four-hour sessions on the pristine rivers and streams. 

Evenings offer time to unwind at the Livingston Manor Fly Fishing Club, where comfort meets rustic charm. Beyond the water, participants can explore the area’s vibrant culture, natural beauty, and rich history. Whether you’re a seasoned fly fisher or a curious beginner, this trip promises a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and relaxation.

Itinerary 🎣
Dates: Friday, April 25 - Sunday, April 27, 2025

• Friday: Depart from New York (time will be adjusted depending on the group, but preferably departing no later than 3:00 pm)

• Saturday: You’ll pair up with guides in groups of 3 and spend 4 hours on the river. Typically, we’ll be on the river between 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, but this is subject to change based on the conditions.

• Sunday: Last chance to hook a big one. You’ll have one more round on the river with a guide for 4 hours 

• Return back to New York in the early evening

Notes:

• Required to have a NYS Fishing License prior to the trip. You can purchase it here.

• All gear is included, but feel free to bring any that you have. 

• If you have no prior experience, but would like to join, there is an option to take a 2-hour Encounter class Saturday morning, before hitting the river.  
  

Accommodation ⛺

We will be staying at the Livingston Manor Fly Fishing Club. We have both the 1st & 2nd floors booked that comfortably accommodates up to 10 total lodging guests between 2 separate units. 

Each Clubhouse unit has a full kitchen to prepare meals, living spaces to relax and unwind, and dining areas to gather and share. The spaces offer simple modern amenities, and provide comfortable and inspired settings that encourage guests to slow down, unplug, and unwind. 

Guests will have access to the Willowemoc Creek and the wood fired hot tub.

All Meals will be included, but feel free to bring your preferred snacks.

Transportation (Optional) 🚌

If you would like a ride with us, we will be departing from a central location in New York/Brooklyn. We will adapt the time/location to what is best for the group. Ideal departure time is between 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Cost 💰

• Total Cost: $1,225 / person

• Optional Transportation: $75 / person 

• Optional: Encounter Beginning Fly Fishing Lesson: $115 / person

• Includes: accommodation, meals, gear, & guides

Kiteboarding School in Cabarete, DR | March 18 - 23, 2025

This March, join us for an exhilarating adventure at Kite Beach in Cabarete, Dominican Republic—a world-renowned destination for kiteboarding. Over the course of five days, participants will immerse themselves in the art of kiteboarding with nine hours of professional instruction tailored to all skill levels, especially beginners. With all gear, lodging, and meals included, it’s the perfect opportunity to focus on learning, improving, and enjoying the thrill of the sport. 

When the wind rests, there’s ample space to work remotely or explore the stunning northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Beyond the water, this trip offers a unique chance to network, build lasting connections, and bond with fellow members of our community. Whether you’re chasing adventure or seeking a fresh challenge, this getaway promises unforgettable experiences and growth.

Itinerary 🏄

Dates: March 18 - 23, 2025

• Tuesday: Depart from New York and arrive in Puerto Plata, Banreservas Aeropuerto Gregorio Luperón (POP) in the Dominican Republic.

• There are 2 direct flights from NYC to POP (United / JetBlue)

• Wednesday - Sunday: We’ll be joining the professionals at Cabarete Kite Point Kiteboarding School. All gear and professional instructors will be included. Over this time we’ll have up to 9 hours of instruction.  

• Sunday: Depending on flight times back, we may get a last shot to fine tune your skills. Afterwards, we head back home.

Notes:

• All gear is included, but feel free to bring any that you have. 

• This trip is geared towards beginners, so whether you have no experience or are looking to improve, all are welcome. 

Accommodation ⛺

We will be staying at a villa in Cabarete, very close to Kite Beach. The exact lodging will be reserved when we have reached our minimum commitment, but you can expect a modern, upscale, accommodation. Everyone will have their own bed, but some may need to share rooms. 

Expect to have plenty of space and wifi on the property. 

All Meals will be included, but alcoholic drinks are not. 

Transportation  🚌

Transfers to/from the airport to our villa are included.

• Total Cost: $1,800 / person

• Includes: accommodation, airport transfers, meals, gear, & professional instructors

• ✈️ Flights are NOT included. Expect to pay ~$500 additional. You will need to book these yourself.
