Canadian Backcountry Ski Trip | April 25 - May 2, 2026

The Adventure Society is a social club for physically active business & community leaders. Our trips are organized with a curated group of subject matter experts, thought leaders, and those that are adventurous at heart.

Trip Overview 📌

This spring, a crew of Adventure Society members will head deep into the Northern Selkirks for an unforgettable week of backcountry skiing, high-alpine adventure, and fireside connection. We’ll heli into one of the most iconic huts in North America, Fairy Meadow, where powder turns, epic terrain, and a wood-fired sauna await. It’s a chance to disconnect from the noise, push your limits, and bond with an exceptional group of business leaders who share a love for the mountains.

Guides 🎿

We’ve teamed up with Selkirk Powder Descents (our preferred guides in the area) to ensure that we have the absolute best and safest week of skiing. We’ll have 2 highly trained guides with us during the entire duration of the trip.

Itinerary ⛷️

Dates: Friday, April 24, 2026 - Sunday, May 3, 2026

• Friday: Arrive in at the Calgary International Airport, where we will meet up and grab our transport to Golden, BC. It is approximately a 3 hour drive from the airport through the amazingly scenic Trans Canadian Highway. We will spend 1 night in Golden, BC.

• Saturday: We depart early and rendezvous at the helicopter staging area, approximately 40 km outside of Golden. From here we will be transported up to the Fairy Meadow Hut with all of our gear, guides, and food.

• Saturday - Friday: We’ll spend the week touring and skiing untouched terrain. 

• Saturday: The helicopter will arrive in the morning to transport us back to the staging area, where we will say good bye.

• Sunday: Due to the unpredictable nature of the weather, it is prudent to book a return flight on the Sunday, in order to give us enough time to make the drive to the airport.

Accommodation ⛺

The legendary Fairy Meadow Hut is operated by the Alpine Club of Canada.

Fairy Meadow is one of the great backcountry ski destinations in North America, with outstanding ski mountaineering and ski touring. In summer the hut is a base for excellent granite mountaineering. The hut is well equipped with a wood sauna, extensive kitchen and bunks. Access is via Helicopter in the winter.

All Meals will be included, but please bring your preferred snacks/energy for the run.

Transportation 🚌

We will try to coordinate flights so that we arrive at the same location and can rent a car to drive to Golden, BC. 

Cost 💰

• Total Cost: $3,650 / person

• Includes: 🚁 Helicopter flights (up/back), ski guides x2/chefs wages, and all food is included in this price. Does not include alcohol.

• Excludes: ✈️ Flights, transportation to the helicopter staging area and typically 1 night before the trip due to travel, tips for the staff, alcohol.
